"This is an alternative view of the Aberdeenshire fishing village of Crovie. Cut off from its hinterland by very steep hills and cliffs, there is only one very steep road in and out of the village. The gable ends of the houses face the sea, to cope with all that the ocean can through at them. Here I wanted to capture the sense of calm felt after the storm."
